Kritik Sastra Feminis dalam Novel Indonesia: Studi Kasus Terhadap Karakter Perempuan dalam Karya Penulis Kontemporer
Abstract
This study examines the role of feminist literary criticism in analyzing female characters in contemporary Indonesian novels. Feminist theory has become a critical lens to understand how gender dynamics and social roles are represented in literature. By focusing on selected novels from contemporary Indonesian authors, the research explores how female protagonists are portrayed in relation to traditional gender roles, patriarchy, and feminist struggles. The findings suggest that while Indonesian literature has begun to depict more empowered female characters, these portrayals are still constrained by cultural norms and historical expectations. The study emphasizes the importance of feminist readings in providing a more inclusive and critical perspective on gender and power in literature.
