Pemaknaan Metafora dalam Puisi: Kajian Semiotic terhadap Bahasa Kiasan dalam Kumpulan Puisi Modern

This study analyzes the use of metaphor in modern poetry through a semiotic approach, focusing on the meaning construction of figurative language. By examining a collection of modern Indonesian poems, this research investigates how metaphors function as symbolic tools to convey deeper meanings, emotions, and cultural contexts. The findings suggest that metaphors in modern poetry are multilayered, and often transcend their literal meanings to evoke complex emotional responses and reflect societal issues. The semiotic analysis reveals that metaphors in poetry operate not only as aesthetic devices but also as social signifiers that challenge conventional interpretations of reality.
